A Welcome Note

Welcome To---
Aven Harper The Myx Writer!

To start I'd like to say that the sole reason for my creation of these blogs is to supply you entertainment and information. After making one or two blogs I realized the sheer potential each new blog had, and, now it(blog making) is like a custom/hobby whereby I can publish my work.

What if the world had no blogs? Or more on the specific side, a world with no information or entertainment? Life would be.... dull if I could say so myself, so I'm here to add on to that information, help, entertainment, advice, and etc, to make sure it doesn't die off.

This blog will house various facts of my work (probably of other blogs), maybe contain some of my life's stories, and other things. Okay, some might think 'Huh? Life's stories? Why would I want to know that?' but the truth is you don't have to listen to that, you don't have to know about me, it is there for those who want to know and further more, you don't have to know the simple secret behind all my work.

The other things that'll appear in this blog might be; random stuff, like nice videos I find or cool images; plans for future blogs or other things; some short stories; links and reviews of , games, music, other websites, etc; maybe an advice page to those who need advice. As you can see there are many subjects that the blog will cover, don't think of it as just a blog. Probably a blog that is the center of many things.

My Lifes Story

Hmm.... Lets Begin!

I was born in Reading, England, and lived there for most of my childhood. My single dream at that time was to be able to do something great when I became older and so, I experimented many things and explored new sights. I spent the first few important years of my education in a quite well-to-do public school, for some reason during that time all the teachers adored me and so my friends called me the tiny teacher's pup, but my parents suddenly pulled me out at the age of six without the chance to get to really know my first few friends and then I was home schooled until it was time for my secondary education. During my home schooling education I learned to love books, and ever since then I've been reading books almost everyday.

At eleven my family and I moved to Kings Heath, Birmingham, where I attended the Kings Heath Boys school. Birmingham was quite different being that there were many roughers (rough people who were educated but not possessive of gentlemen like traits) as some would say and living there felt more developed (for reasons I couldn't explain being only eleven). From early secondary to middle and finally to higher secondary I survived. Ironically, in primary school for no reason at all, teachers seemed to be fond of me, but during secondary school it seemed that every living teacher was out to get me! They all judged me on sight and instantly that made life harder for me, but something happened that greatly affected my future. During my time at Kings Heath I developed a talent for basketball, which was quite odd because for all my life before that I had only played football, and that talent became something the official team wanted. So I was put on the team and I helped them to be victorious every game with my precise three-pointers and my unstoppable jump shots, but the simple talent became a ticket to a scholarship and because of that basketball turned to become more than just a sport. As I rose in place, although not many people knew me (I'm not sure many teachers knew me either), my new goal racing for the scholarship was within reach (and finally that dream of becoming something great was developing), but, the most unexpected thing happened. It was senior year and the most important match ever was coming in just two months. 98-97, we were leading, the final play of the game that was going to bring us up to an even bigger game, 20 heart stopping seconds on the clock, I was drenched in sweat, everything seemed to enter a slow motion phase, each player glanced at their teammates with the spark of relief in their eyes, then it began. Everyone rushed up to the opponents side, one dire play to secure a place in our own hanging history, dribbling techniques were showed off while the others fought for a proper position, 15 ticking seconds, the opponents came in desperately to steal but effortlessly our captain dodged pass them, came in on the tip of the box and fired his elegant three pointer, it seemed to fly in the air, as it dropped and entered the basket everybody on the team got ready to celebrate, but against the odds, it went in perfectly but bounced back out, to the teams horror, the win wasn't secure yet. 10 last seconds, I came up with excellent speed and caught the rebound, with all my might I tried something new, something that was about to cost me more than I was expecting. I readied the lay up, two precious steps, I was blocked in every direction, I burst through the blockade, jumped and spun, my back facing the basket, just as I rotated the ball in the air, to let the ball drop into the basket, I felt the most agonizing pain ever. I dropped to the floor unable to perform the winning basket, searched for the source of the greatest nerve cruncher ever, and saw my foot turned back 180 degrees, a definite broken foot. The other team rushed the ball to the other end of the court, 5 seconds (must of been the most intense seconds the two teams have ever experienced), 2 seconds, their youngest member clumsily, in panic, shot a three pointer, 1 second, that youngest member became an instant hero. As our team cried in sadness, I went into a deep sleep, but a last thought came into my mind 'I'll never be able to play basketball again because of this injury.' When I awoke I found myself in the hospital, my coach told me that I spun around to0 early and I got my foot caught between someone else's. There and then my dream faded and so did my high school days. Those were the earlier times of my life and somewhat the toughest, but I managed it.

When I turned sixteen we moved again, this time to the well known Cambridge. As I waited to enter university I worked around a few Mc Donalds and Starbucks' so I managed to meet a few local people, Rick for example, he helped me get through coffee making, and my hurtful past, and now we're good friends, Rick I know you're reading and I promise you that I won't reveal any of your *ahem* bad dating tales ( is Carline still upset with what you did?). Luckily it wasn't long before I got a place in Cambridge University, my O level and A level results were unexpectedly outstanding, something I didn't take notice because of basketball until the letter came up to my doorstep . I took up Law and Journalism, which was exactly what I wanted to take. It seemed that a brand new journey was ahead, I still kept my dream, the dream of becoming something great.

Wow... Those were scary times. Studying hard always got the best of me. Staying up late nights having to make up for the previous parties. Not getting enough time to look decent because of the precious over sleeping phase and always having to rush to university when I was late. And at the same time taking a mandatory part time job! Oh, plus the fact that my parents left, which was quite sad, I'm not saying I don't like living freely, but my parents were great people to talk to when I was bored and lonely. There were a few times when people asked me to try out basketball, I was tempted to but remembering that my injury could get worse I declined the offers. I studied and studied until it came to a time where studying was the only thing I did. It was so bad that I sometimes forgot to eat, but thanks to a certain somebody I eased up. That certain someone became the love of my life, our relationship could have been described as the greatest love story ever, sadly for now I won't put that story up, lets just say it ended badly, but that motivated me to move on and make the best of my one and only life. *Arggghhh!* Really hard times... I was glad when I finished my studies, life felt a bit less heavy, the air smelled fresh, and the world was coming back to me, but... That wasn't the end of it.

Soon my parents moved to some far away island, quite a nice place to retire but transport back to the mainlands was impossibly difficult to find! Mom, Dad, I still don't agree with the island choice, it takes me four hours to get to where you are and you ask me to visit every month. *Puts face on hands* Why do I have to be the good child of the family? Something I forgot to mention was the fact I had a sister, an older sister, six years older to me exact (which really means 'very old' *smiles*). And during the last years of my studies she got married to a great man, Vilvados, *raises one hand* thank you for the cash loan, it helped straighten my needy life. Not that my life was bent or poor, I just meant that... *thinks hard* Well... I dunno, I was just trying to be polite at the same time trying to hide to truth *grins*. Now, she has two boys and a girl; the eldest, Joshua, an innovative boy, keep up the good work in school but about becoming a wrestler, maybe you should consider something less injuring; the second, Haley, your drawings are excellent but you should put down those barbie dolls for a while; and the last, but certainly not the least, Johan, good, follow your father's footsteps, but about following your brother's dangerous wrestling and your sister's girlie dolls... well lets say something less complicated should be chosen.

After my studies I followed a proper path (still trying to fulfill my dream) and tried out becoming a lawyer, it worked out for a while, I had some really good cases that I had to crack my head to solve, but in the long run I knew it wasn't the occupation for me because it didn't fit the dream of becoming something great, although many would say being a good lawyer is great. Then I tried out writing for a small time newspaper. I worked to my limit, although my colleagues and boss took advantage of me and always tried to lower my self esteem. The fact that they wanted to bend the truth of well known people made me leave the job, but lucky me, at the same time another, better, newspaper wanted to hire someone and so I got a more fulfilling job. It really seemed that I was headed to become something great. Journalism started to suit me and for years it kept me satisfied and left me plenty of money. After a few years in writing for the papers I suddenly got bored and realized 'I'm still not something great'. I wanted something else something more... well, something really different but yet the same to others and well known. Then one day as I sat down, wondering what my real goal would be, I started writing a story. After over four hours non-stop I kept on writing, and when I finished I read through my finished product. Amazingly it turned out to be quite good, and so I gave it to a few people I knew (not friends because I wanted the real truth) and again, amazingly they said it was really good and they didn't believe me when I said I wrote it by accident, or semi accident. Now because of that my new goal, as well as the ticket to my dream, is to publish a best selling novel and continue writing, I have to thank my parents fully for this, if it wasn't for them raising me well and putting me in home school, I wouldn't have been such a good student that read alot. On the journey that I am going through to get the best seller, I have started writing blogs, I publish articles on magazines and on the internet, and I help to write scripts for small time movies. I'm coming close to my goal although I get beat down by editors every time I write a novel, I still strive hard on spending all my time trying to reach a long time dream.

I'm working on a few novels, and a volume of poetry currently. The story on my other blog, Human Age Story, will also be a novel but will be better in certain aspects because I can't put my best work on the internet just yet. When I finally get that 'best seller' and reach my dream, you will be the first to know.

For now that is all---

Why 'The Myx Writer' and what does Myx mean?

A Not So Grim Truth

Well Myx Writer is a nickname I received from the people who read my work and knew what I liked to write.

Why I got the nickname 'The Myx Writer' was because I liked writing many different things. Poems, Stories, Research Papers, Articles, Scripts are all things I like to write and that is half the reason why I have the name Myx Writer.

The other half was the fact that I used to mix all those different types of writing together, making it better just like an alloy. So my research papers had poems in them, my articles had scripts in them, and my stories had everything in them.

In other words Myx Writer means Mix Writer, which was actually the original nickname. My original nickname was Mix Writer but because my nephew Joshua, at that time, couldn't spell, he always wrote my nickname as 'Myx Writre' and due to that I decided.
Instead of Mix Writer why not Myx Writer? They both sounded the same but the latter looked nicer and now ever since then most of my work has the word Myx in it.

Although that is the reason why I'm known as the Myx Writer, the word Myx to me, is short for something else. It was something I discovered whose initials were, M, Y, and X. It really means more than you think and if you can figure it out, probably I might give you a reward. I'll fill you in on it if such a competition happens.

Human Age More Than Just A Game

Is it just a game?

Many will want to know about this game that I have dedicated two blogs to. Well, for those who do want to know, your question will be answered on this page.
Human Age is a game that I've played for quite some time. Although I've not progressed so far due to busyness, which usually leaves me pausing the game for 80 days.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Human Age is a simulation game with more than the usual aspects that its category suggests. You can say it's also a virtual management game that increases self responsibility, more like a second life that you have to keep alive. Even though it is a daily progression, long term game, you realize that after really playing it and joining in with the forums, it becomes more than just a game. By fully experiencing the game you join a real, supportive community. This community consists of more than just gamers, you have artists, writers, creators, neighbours, and more, all the different types of people that are part of a usual community.

Okay... Now you know the basic qualities of Human Age that make it shine. Lets move on to the outer polish, the extra shiner, the bright foundation. All in all, even with being a community and all, a game must have game aspects and this is what makes it even better.

In the game you advance through ages. From Prehistory, to the Celts, then the Egyptians, the Greeks, and so on, all the way to the 21st century. These evolutions are basically extra levels of difficulty with its own extra content reward (awesome new stuff to do). Evolving might take a while so it is recommended that you take it easy and progress over time. Each age is practically a new playing ground that you have to get used to, if you feel you can't handle the evolution I suggest don't go ahead with it until you're ready.

The fact that Human Age is an RPG makes it engaging, packed with mini games, obstacle filled quests, and out of this world survival tasks. You have to make sure that you've eaten and drunk enough to live till the next day, plus the fact that you have to watch your money, the more you have, the more you advance. Example of things you can do (auto set only) in the first age you get to play as (Prehistory), are; set hunting ground to gather food; sign up for a job to earn some cash; complete mandatory quests to help make life easier; and more, and that's just the automatic stuff. The other things you can do are; play real time mini games; challenge people to fights; and set step after step to catch mammoths. As you can see through the provided description, the game seems to be endless, and that isn't even all of it.

The admins and players will welcome you with open arms and supply you with answers of questions you ask. The pause function will allow those who have busy schedules to keep their characters untouched, a true helper to those who need it.

Start the game, join the community... You won't regret it in the long run
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Important -- Please Note

Human Age is quite a complicated game at first, so I recommend that you check out my other blog -- Human Age Guide -- to make sure you don't make any consequential mistakes that will affect your future game experience.

Another thing that might interest existing players and soon-to-be players, is my other blog -- Human Age Story -- it consists of a novel like story based in the world of Human Age.

Thank you for your attention---
